MR. SAMUEL HARDING,

CIVIL ENGINEER,

A. I. C. E. I., 1850.

Late Engineer under the Imperial Government in carrying out of Acts for Improvement of Inland Navigation, Mill Power, Arterial Drainage, &c.

Gold Fields and Mining Surveyor for the Thames District. Licensed Surveyor under the Native Lands Act.

MR. HARDING begs to notify, that he is prepared to measure and estimate Water Supply under the various conditions now acknowledged to be required, so as to determine the requisite power and dimensions of Mill Wheels, the sizes of Pipes, Water Courses, Reservoirs, &c.

TURBINES--These small, powerful, and economical machines are workable by supplies of water too scanty for overshot wheels. Proper curves and proportions for Turbines are furnished by Mr. Harding on the Continental and other systems, which will enable them to be constructed at the Auckland foundries.

ROADS, TRAMWAYS, &c Surveyed and carried out.

WORKING OF CLAIMS Inspected for absent Shareholders, &c

Mr. Harding invites inspection of Plans, factions, and Drawings connected with mill power and works of channels and water courses, &c.. which have been under his charge. The principal channels and water courses referred to are from, 10ft to 60ft. wide, and extend to an aggregate length of 140 miles. Parliamentary journals and other reports may be seen, in which reference is made to the foregoing works, and the satisfaction they hare given.

Please address to Post Office, Shortland.
